Video Party

SilverGrid Tech

About this app

Bring your personal video library to the big screen with Video Party, a product of SilverGrid Technologies LLC.

Use the Video Party Mac companion to organize your videos, then connect your Android TV with a QR code and your Google account. Browse with your remote and settle in to watch.

WATCH ON YOUR HOME NETWORK
Stream videos directly from your Mac to your TV. Keep your Mac awake with Video Party running, and connect both devices to the same trusted home network. Importing a video does not automatically upload it to the cloud.

OPTIONAL CLOUD COPIES
Accounts with an invited cloud-storage allowance can upload selected videos from the Mac app and play those copies with the Mac switched off. Cloud storage is optional and is not included for every account.

YOUR LIBRARY, ORGANIZED
• Browse a grid or a compact list with your TV remote.
• Find folders organized on your Mac.
• Sort by name, folder, duration, date added, or last updated.
• Keep favorites and continue watching from your saved position.
• Read the privacy policy and terms directly on your TV.

BEFORE YOU START
Video Party requires Android TV 8 or newer, a Google account, and your own video files. Local streaming requires the companion app on an Apple Silicon Mac running macOS 12 or newer. Internet access is needed for initial sign-in and account synchronization. Your Mac prepares compatible TV copies up to 1080p; format support depends on your device. TV playback is flat video, without the Mac app’s panoramic or stereoscopic modes.

Video Party does not include movies, television channels, or a subscription content catalog. Use only videos you own or are authorized to play. Local streaming uses authenticated HTTP on your trusted home network; cloud connections use HTTPS.

No ads or in-app purchases.
