Build South Dakota: The Game offers players a virtual pre-apprenticeship experience through games, videos, and assessment tools. Users explore the different phases of a highway construction project while uncovering the skills needed to be a Carpenter, Pile Driver, Concrete Finisher, Skilled Laborer, Heavy Equipment Operator, and Inspector. After exploring the vast world of Build South Dakota: The Game, players will be ready to explore several real life opportunities in highway construction. Play the game. Get to work.

Build South Dakota: The Game features:
-Learn the ins and outs of four major construction trades
-Play mini-games that test your aptitudes and skills
-Receive links to learn about and apply to real life opportunities

Build South Dakota: The Game was funded by the Associated General Contractors of South Dakota to educate high school students on the benefits of choosing a career in the construction industry. Its mission is to provide services of the highest quality and value to its members, and to preserve and improve skill, responsibility and integrity in the construction industry. The AGC of South Dakota offers the most comprehensive educational training in construction to regional members.

Build South Dakota: The Game is a Future Road Builders game, developed in partnership with the Constructors Association of Western PA and PennDOT, along with funding assistance from a FWHA Ladders of Opportunities grant.
