About this game

Mum sent you out for bread. It is a five-minute walk through a small town, and you have done it a hundred times. Today it turns into a parkour adventure. Bread2Go is a funny retro platformer in hand-drawn pixel art that you can play completely offline.

🏃 ROOFTOP PARKOUR
Running is only the start. Parkour across rooftops, jump from garage to garage and ride a power line down to the street. The parkour controls are simple, the timing is not. Missed a jump? Try the parkour route again from a better angle. Running, jumping, sliding: this is street parkour, small-town style.

🎯 ERRANDS AND A SLINGSHOT
Nobody in the yard helps for free, and nobody has seen any bread. Get a ball off the roof for a crying boy, find a key lost in the washing, bring a spanner to the man under the old UAZ and buy a bus ticket. Each errand is a small adventure of its own. Win the slingshot challenge, five hits in twenty seconds, and the cats and rats will finally show some respect.

🗺️ EXPLORE A SMALL TOWN
Explore panel-block yards, rusty garages, a row of retro kiosks and a corner shop that somehow has no bread. Every place in this adventure has its own sound: the yard, the garages, the road. Explore rooftops for coins and you will find shortcuts nobody else uses.

📖 A STORY GAME WITH JOKES
Bread2Go is a story game told through the people you meet: grannies on the bench, a boy who lost his ball, a shopkeeper who has everything except bread. It is a funny game about the most ordinary journey there is, and every joke is part of the journey. A funny game for anyone who was ever sent to the shop and came back with something else.

🎨 RETRO PIXEL ART
Every frame is hand-drawn pixel art: panel blocks, washing lines, cats on the roofs. The pixel art is retro on purpose, a 2D platformer adventure that looks like the games we played as kids, with big readable sprites that stay sharp on any screen.

🕹️ ARCADE FEEL
If you grew up on arcade games, the controls will feel like home: left, right, jump and action. It is a 2D platformer in the spirit of classic retro arcade games, with retro pixel art drawn by hand. Short arcade sessions, a real adventure: one parkour run fits a bus ride. Buttons can be resized and moved to the other hand.

Take the journey offline anywhere: on the bus, on a plane, in a basement with no signal.
