About this game

Simmershift is a portrait 2.5D timing puzzle about running a riverbound steam kitchen. Every service asks you to finish several dishes together, even though each basket absorbs heat differently.

Drag steamer baskets between three heat columns and stack positions. Tap vents to change how steam reaches the basket above. Hold Preview to look three seconds ahead, watch the doneness rings, and press Serve only when every dish shares the same ready window. Moving too often costs heat, leaving a basket too long can burn it, and each batch has a limited number of moves and previews. The challenge is readable and deterministic: a retry keeps the same service setup so you can improve your route instead of guessing at a new order.

The current build includes three complete services: Morning Steam, Market Rush, and Lantern Supper. Each service contains four handcrafted batches, for twelve timing puzzles in total. They progress from guided basket movement to stacked vent relays, four-basket heat planning, and tighter serving windows. An interactive tutorial teaches Move, Vent, Preview, and Serve before the later services combine those actions under pressure.

Between batches, choose one of three Chef's Notes. Four notes are available, trading faster or gentler heat, extra moves, vent transmission, wider timing, and higher ticket rewards. Collect Feast Tickets and four Recipe Stamps, then inspect Soup Dumplings, Glutinous Rice Cake, Pearl Dumpling, and Custard Bun in cooked and raw 3D views. The Service Report records timing sync, moves left, previews used, and burned dishes so every attempt gives clear feedback.

Simmershift supports English and Simplified Chinese, separate music and sound controls, and Reduce Motion. Optional rewarded ads can provide daily tickets, a note redraw, a failed-batch restore, or doubled tickets. Low-frequency interstitial ads may appear during menu transitions. The game does not promise online multiplayer or a realistic cooking simulation.
