Sound Noise Meter+ is a professional-grade sound level meter with built-in OSHA/NIOSH 8-hour noise dose tracking, A/C/Z weighting, and one-tap Quiet Room calibration. No hardware required — just your iPhone.
▶ FEATURES
• Live dB SPL display — updated several times per second from the microphone RMS level
• OSHA + NIOSH 8-hour noise dose tracking with TWA (separate criterion and exchange rates per standard)
• A / C / Z weighting toggle (dBA · dBC · dBZ)
• Quiet Room one-tap calibration — 3 seconds in a quiet room and the offset auto-sets
• Min / Max / Average dB tracking during a session
• Live timeline chart of dB values
• Adjustable calibration offset (±20 dB) — slide to match a reference SPL meter if you have one
• Session duration timer
• Big radial gauge for at-a-glance reading
• Dark UI for low-light venues
• Works fully offline — only the microphone is used
• 22 languages supported
▶ HOW TO USE
1. Tap the Start button to begin measuring. Allow microphone permission.
2. The big number is the current dB. Min / Max / Avg update as you go.
3. Tap the panel toggle to switch between live chart, OSHA/NIOSH dose, and noise reference levels.
4. Tap the dB weighting chip (top-left) to cycle dBA / dBC / dBZ.
5. Tap Quiet Cal in a known-quiet room for one-tap calibration.
▶ HONEST NOTES
• A/C/Z weighting uses broadband offsets (consumer-grade approximation, not certified IEC 61672 class accuracy).
• OSHA / NIOSH dose calculations follow the published criterion and exchange rates (90 dBA / 5 dB and 85 dBA / 3 dB respectively) — for regulatory compliance use a certified Type 2 SLM.
• Accuracy depends on your phone's microphone. Use Quiet Room calibration in a known-quiet space to anchor your readings.
• No CSV export or cloud sync — the dose and history stay local.
▶ COMPATIBILITY
