I got tired of counting each coin by hand for my job, so I made this app. Simply lay the coins out flat, take a picture, double check its accuracy, then select the coin type. At the bottom of the screen it'll display the total dollar amount of the coins.

If it misses a coin you can simply click once anywhere on the image to add in extra "coins" to the total.
