About this game

Game Master: Ancient Games brings together fourteen of history's most enduring board games in one elegant, lightweight app.

App available in English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, and Arabic.

THE GAMES

From the ancient world
- Royal Game of Ur: One of the oldest board games ever discovered, dating back over 4,500 years to ancient Mesopotamia.
- Senet: An ancient Egyptian board game of strategy and luck, thought to symbolize the journey of the soul through the afterlife.
- Seega: An ancient Egyptian strategy board game of placement, movement and cunning capture.

From Europe and the North
- Tablut: A variant of Hnefatafl, the ancient Viking hunt game. Attackers surround the board while defenders must escort the King to freedom.
- Nine Men's Morris: The medieval mill game of placement and strategy, played across Europe for over a thousand years.
- Checkers: The timeless classic board game, reimagined with clean controls and sharp AI.
- Farkle: A press-your-luck dice game far older than its name. Set aside what scores, then decide whether to risk it all on one more roll.

From Africa and Asia
- Mancala: The ancient count-and-capture board game played across Africa and Asia for thousands of years.
- Gomoku: The Japanese five-in-a-row battle of wits and pattern recognition.

From the Americas
- Bul: A traditional Mayan racing game played with wooden sticks as dice.
- Awithlaknannai Mosona: A Zuni leaping game fought along a single zigzag strip, where one good jump can take three pieces at once.
- Zohn Ahl: A Kiowa stick-dice race around a ring of forty marks, with two rivers waiting to sweep your marker back to the start.
- Peach Stone Game: The Haudenosaunee bowl game, played with six peach stones burnt black on one face and wagered on with beans.
- Adugo: The jaguar hunt of the Bororo of the Brazilian Pantanal. One jaguar against fourteen dogs, and a den at one end of the board to be driven into.
All your ancient board games in a single light app: Mancala, Tablut, Ur & more.

What’s new

Five new games: Adugo, Farkle, the Peach Stone Game, Zohn Ahl and Awithlaknannai Mosona.

Sharper opponents in Tablut, Mancala, the Royal Game of Ur, Seega, Nine Men's Morris, Senet and Bul. Easy, Medium and Hard now differ in judgement rather than luck.

Online draws are no longer counted as losses. Bul's side selection and its dice both behave.

New artwork throughout, and a What's New screen so you can see what changed.
