You can create handy clips and pin frequently used ones for easy access. You can toggle vibrations, popups on keypresses or select your language from the list of supported ones.

It comes with material design and dark theme by default, provides great user experience for easy usage. The lack of internet access gives you more privacy, security and stability than other apps.

Contains no ads or unnecessary permissions. It is fully opensource, provides customizable colors.

EDITED: UP FROM 2 STARS TO 4. I rebooted, and now an icon below the keyboard lets me toggle between Gboard and Simple. It's a slightly different layout with less bells and whistles. No microphone. It works fine if I type slowly, but misspells or writes gobble-dy-goop. Weird how it feels "clicky" like a mechanical keyboard - I like it! Nice app.

Update: This is a basic keyboard for sure. No voice to text. Can't resize. No spelling suggestion for correction. No emojis except these :-0. Only options are vibrate & popup on keypress, clipboard, and language. BUT the letters are easy to see and it types well. When I need voice to text I can switch to the Google Voice typing option on my keyboard list. The no frills purpose is to provide a basic keypad without invasive permissions. For that I'll give +++thanks & *5* stars! 8-)

A good no-frills keyboard laid out for easy low-error typing. I've been using it for the past two or three days. The only thing that I'd like to see added is a long-press on the space bar to quickly switch keyboards when I need a special character from Gboard or whatever. But, still good as is.
