The Simple Scanner is a PDF document scanner application that turns your phone into a portable scanner. you can scan documents, photos, receipts, reports, or just about anything. The scan will be saved to the device in image or PDF format. Name and organize your scan to a folder, or share it in the following ways:

I had this app on my old phone and have used it for years. I liked it so much I paid for the pro version. I recently got a new phone and installed the newest free version just to get started. now when I hit the button just to do normal stuff I get an ad that unexpectedly auto plays LOUD sound. Like HEART ATTACK loud. this is horribly disruptive and embarrassing if you're in a meeting or a quiet place. Now I think I'll look around for a better alternative for long-term use.

Been a favorite for double digit years! only, be careful with the ad pop ups. Check the screen THOROUGHLY before taping anything. Scan anything. Save in photo mode of document mode in many different black/white and color modes. Multiple ways to save .pdf, .jpg, etc. Share to nearly everywhere or upload to your cloud service. It really is a handy app

When I first started using the app, scanned documents appeared in a folder in my gallery, but that stopped happening at some point. Now I have to email them to myself from the app after scanning and then save them to my phone, or else I just can't access the document at all. I'm not sure where some reviewers get the idea that you have to pay for the app to send documents, that is just not true at all. It's completely free.
