The Simple Scanner is a PDF document scanner application that turns your phone into a portable scanner. you can scan documents, photos, receipts, reports, or just about anything. The scan will be saved to the device in image or PDF format. Name and organize your scan to a folder, or share it in the following ways:

simple and easy, works very well - thank you! update 19/8/23: what worked like a charm for a long time suddenly doesn't: I can still scan the documents butmailing them doesn't work any longer - whenever I try, Iend up with an empty email/no scan attached. What happened? No idea. I didn't update my os and the app has no updates since quite a while. Please help! (Might it be a size issue? Is the free version no longer capable of emailing scans that are larger than 1MB? If yes, please announce it

First off: Yes, it is full of ads. But it's for free and your scans won't be watermarked, thus the amount of advertisements is easily justified. Besides that the app is easy to use, creates PDFs and even covers enhancement of your taken photo before exporting it. Probably the best app you can get for scanning with your phone without having to pay for it.

Best scanning app I have found. Works just like it should. Possible to retake single pages. Possible to choose between different filters. Possible to manually adjust page corners. Saves the files locally under custom name and allows editing later. Sharing as PDF directly to your email (other options available too). The ads can be annoying, especially if they appear during scanning. It would be good if there was a "serial" mode where I can just snap pictures without confirming the defaults.
