About this app

The Union of Workers in the Civil Construction Industries of the Municipality of Rio de Janeiro was founded on January 1, 1931. At the time, it received the name of Alliance of Workers in the Civil Construction Industries of Rio de Janeiro, in accordance with the decree No. 19,770 of 03/19/1931. In 1939, it was transformed into a Union, set down by the then President of the Republic of Brazil, Getúlio Dornelles Vargas, being Minister of Labor Lindolfo Boeckel Collor

Sintraconst-Rio's own headquarters was inaugurated on May 29, 1981, in the year of the entity's Golden Jubilee, which corresponded to 50 years of struggles and glories. Several authorities were present at the party, such as the then president of the Federative Republic of Brazil, João Baptista de Oliveira Figueiredo, in addition to the Minister of Labor, Murillo Macedo, and the Regional Labor Delegate, Luiz Carlos de Brito. The headquarters brought a lot of expectations and a new home for the civil construction worker.

On April 24, 2001, Sintraconst-Rio was presided over by Jorge Pereira Machado, who was in charge of the union until December 28, 2009, the date marked by his death. So assumed the current president Carlos Antonio who has been fighting to unite the category more and more.
