Stop juggling a dozen browser tabs and three half-finished to-do lists. Single Task is a minimalist focus timer that forces you to commit to exactly one thing at a time — and rewards you for finishing it.
Name your task, set a duration, pick an atmosphere, and tap Enter Focus Mode. The app gives you a full-screen countdown designed to keep you present and accountable — not to distract you with notifications or stats you didn't ask for.
WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT
Most productivity apps are secretly productivity traps: they let you reorganize and tinker when you should be working. Single Task removes every escape hatch. Once you're in a session, your only choices are to keep going, pause, or declare you're done. The simplicity is the feature.
KEY FEATURES
• Single-task commitment — name exactly one task before each session, so your intention is clear from the start
• Circular countdown ring — a bold, full-screen timer shows exactly how much time is left at a glance
• Atmosphere color themes — choose from six immersive palettes (Sunset, Emerald, Midnight, Violet, Amber, Cyan) to match your mood and the work ahead
• Adjustable session duration — slide from short sprints to deep-work blocks, with a quick 25-minute Pomodoro default
• Focus streak counter — daily streak tracking builds the habit of showing up, even when you don't feel like it
• Total focus time — cumulative minutes logged keep you honest about how much real work you're actually doing
• Sessions completed counter — see your finished-session count climb as evidence of progress over time
• Recent focus history — review the tasks you've completed to stay oriented on what actually moved forward
• Pause and resume — step away mid-session and return without losing your progress or breaking your flow
• Task suggestions — quick-pick chips (Study Kotlin, Write Code, Read Book) get you started instantly when you're drawing a blank
• Done confirmation — explicitly marking a session complete builds a sense of closure that checking boxes never gives you
• Beautiful empty state — even before your first session, the dashboard is calm and inviting, not intimidating
HOW IT WORKS
Open Single Task and you're met with a clean dashboard: a task input field, a duration slider, six color-theme orbs, and one big button. Type what you're working on — or tap a suggestion chip if you need a nudge. Drag the slider to your target session length. Pick an atmosphere that fits the work. Tap Enter Focus Mode.
The screen transforms into a full-screen focus environment built around your task name and a circular countdown ring in your chosen color. A "FOCUS ACTIVE" pill confirms the session is running. When you need a break, the pause button holds your time. When done, tap "I'm Done!" — the session is logged and your streak advances.
After each session, your stats update instantly: streak days, total focus minutes, and completed count all live on the main dashboard so you can see your momentum building in real time.

Students who need to study without picking up their phone every five minutes • Developers who want Pomodoro-style sprints without a bloated app • Writers blocking out time for a single chapter or article • Anyone who keeps starting tasks but struggles to finish them • People who want a ritual — a deliberate start and a satisfying end to each piece of work • Remote workers fighting context-switching and notification noise.
PRIVACY & TRUST
Single Task requires no internet connection and transmits no data to external servers. Your task names, session history, and streak data are stored locally on your device and never leave it. No accounts, no sign-ins, no analytics. Your focus history is yours alone.
