ስንቅ, provisions for the journey.

Sinq is an app for praying the hours, not for reading about them. It holds the prayers a day is built from, from ጸሎተ ነግህ at dawn to መንፈቀ ሌሊት at night, and opens on the one the time of day suggests. Around them sit the readings that place the day in the Church's year.

The interface is Amharic first, with English if you prefer it. Everything is set in Ethiopic type chosen for reading at length.

PRAYER
- The seven hours, with መንፈቀ ሌሊት and its three watches, plus the Veil prayer
- ውዳሴ ማርያም and ጸሎት ዘዘወትር for each weekday, with a Ge'ez toggle
- Build your own hour from the psalms and passages you actually pray

THE CHURCH'S DAY
- ግጻዌ, the complete lectionary, resolved for the year
- ስንክሳር, the day's commemoration, with its አርኬ
- አጽዋማት, which fast is in effect today and every fast of the Ethiopian year

READING
- The whole Amharic Bible, bundled
- All 150 psalms, in Amharic or Ge'ez
- 37 further books of the Church, including መልክእ hymns, መጽሐፈ ሰዓታት and ማኅሌተ ጽጌ
- ሥርዓተ ማኅሌት for the whole year
- Reading plans for the Bible or the Psalter, at your own pace
- Five text sizes, four Ethiopic typefaces, and a screen that can stay awake while you pray

YOURS
- ማስታወሻ, a journal that keeps the Church's day each entry was written on, with an optional passphrase

OFFLINE BY DESIGN
Every prayer and reading is inside the app, so it works with no signal. There is no account, no ads, no in-app purchases and no analytics. Your records stay on your device, and automatic cloud backup is switched off for this app.

Sinq is non-commercial and will stay that way. Corrections to the prayer text or the Amharic are always welcome through the feedback page at sinq.natinael96.tech.
