Six Sticks is a faithful recreation of Liubo, an ancient Chinese board game from the Han Dynasty that was lost for over 1,500 years. Rediscovered through royal tomb excavations and surviving historical texts, this strategic game of skill and fortune is now playable on your phone for the first time.
AUTHENTIC ANCIENT MECHANICS
Throw the Sticks: Six bamboo sticks replace dice. Throw them and read the pattern of marked and blank faces to determine your move.
The Casting Rhythm: This ancient mechanic creates a unique gameplay flow. Roll all marked or all blank faces to trigger powerful special moves.
CAPTURE & PROMOTE
Strategic Movement: Move your pieces clockwise around the board. Land on an opponent to capture them and clear the path.
The Owl: Complete a full circuit to promote your piece into a powerful "Owl." Only an Owl can enter the inner scoring path to secure your victory.
THREE WAYS TO PLAY
Daily Challenge: A quick 1-point match on a compact board. Perfect for a coffee break. Build your streak and earn bonus XP daily.
Best of 3: A ranked match against an AI matched to your skill level. This is where your competitive rating rises and falls.
Liubo Classic: The full historical experience on a traditional 16-position board. Features authentic "fish-pulling" mechanics, piece stacking, and the original rules of the Han Dynasty courts.

HISTORICAL AUTHENTICITY
Six Sticks draws from decades of archaeological research and Han Dynasty tomb paintings. The board is inspired by artifacts dating back to 200 BCE, and the Classic mode recreates the fish-and-nest mechanics described in the Gu Bo Jing, the oldest known text on the game.
