About this app

ToonLingo is an application for learning English words using flashcards that will make this process fun and effective. It is based on the dictionary of the most frequently used words Oxford Basic American Dictionary.

• In ToonLingo you will find 9000 flashcards with video examples of the use of words/phrases from popular cartoons. The words are divided into 80 different topics.

• To check how well you remembered the word, 2 types of testing are offered. The learned words are saved in your dictionary, and if you forgot the meaning of any word, just send it for repeated study.

• Monitor your learning progress with the help of detailed statistics. Manage the speed of video playback and display of word translations.

• As a bonus for learning, a list of 200 irregular verbs and functionality for testing them are offered.

What’s new

The following changes have been added to make the app more user-friendly:
- an express-test to check the retention of vocabulary words in long-term memory, available as a pop-up before the start of a session;
- the ability to show the translation of words in cards after activating the "Hide card translation" mode;
