About this app

Settings Widget allows you to create custom home screen widgets for quick access to your system settings. The widgets show the current status of each setting (e.g., Wi-Fi on/off) right on your home screen.

Full Control & Appearance: The widgets are fully configurable. You can create as many widgets as you like and customize size, layout (rows and columns), and appearance (colors, icon style, text visibility, etc.) to suit your needs.

Material You: The widgets can automatically adapt to your device's system colors (Pro version required).

How it works: Many settings can be toggled directly. Due to Android limitations, some toggles must link directly to the system settings to perform the change.

Settings Widget supports 23 settings:
- Wi-Fi: on/off, direct toggle or via system dialog (device dependent)
- Mobile Data: on/off, via system dialog
- Bluetooth: on/off, direct toggle or via system settings (device dependent)
- Sound Mode: Sound/Vibrate/Mute, direct toggle
- Airplane Mode: on/off, via system settings
- GPS: on/off, via system settings
- Auto-Rotate: on/off, direct toggle
- Brightness: directly adjustable
- Wi-Fi Hotspot: on/off, direct toggle or via system settings (device dependent)
- Flashlight: on/off, direct toggle
- Volume: via system dialog
- System Settings: via system settings
- Auto-Sync: on/off, direct toggle
- Do Not Disturb: on/off, direct toggle
- NFC: on/off, via system dialog
- NFC Payment: via system settings
- Apps: via system settings
- Date & Time: via system settings
- Phone Info: via system settings
- Screen Timeout: directly adjustable
- Battery Saver: on/off, via system settings
- Night Mode: on/off, via system settings
- VPN: on/off, via system settings

On my Pixel 3a running Android 12, I just installed a 2x1 widget to let me turn GPS and mobile data on and off. So far it's working fine. I like the way that a setting turns green when it's on. So far I haven't seen any of the ads that are supposed to appear. Update: On a dual-SIM Pixel 7a, turning mobile data on or off doesn't let me choose which SIM to change. That's an unusual case, though, so I'm still giving five stars. I've had no other issues in two years... great widget!

Thanks for the positive feedback. The mobile data dialog is provided by the Android OS, so I cannot change anything there. The ads will not appear, if you just use the widget. The widgets are completely ad-free. They only appear inside the app now and then.

The ads might be tolerable if it wasn't so quirky! - I opened the app, not the widget & clicked on the Do Not Disturb icon that promptly vanished. I had to reinstall app to get it back. - There didn't appear to be a way to edit a widget once on the desktop so I created a new one. I went back in the app & found I could edit the 1st widget but not the 2nd. - The ad frequency was okay but ads like Temu popped up without any way to return to the app without starting over & losing work in progress.

It's a good app if you want to see the state of some quick panel toggles (like, wifi on or off?) in more clear view as icons right on your home page. I have set them green for on, grayed-out for off. The fact that clicking some icons (like wifi, again) does not switch them directly but opens a dialog, is not the developer's fault but due to Android's built-in limitations. Why only 4 stars? Setting up the widget is confusing, it took me quite some time to get everything just right.

Thanks for the nice and constructive feedback. The widget configuration offers a lot of options and flexibility, so it is always a bit of a compromise between simplicity and customization. However, I am always trying to make it as intuitive as possible. If you have any good suggestions or questions, feel free to send an email to sj-apps@web.de.
