so i was able to troubleshoot this Bluetooth issue by having the device highlight in its blue color under the wifi section and then hold down on the color as the "unable to connect" screen popped up. While holding down on the color screen and moving it around, x out the unable to connect screen. The "pair device" pops up, and at that point I ignored it for 30 seconds to which it eventually went away on its own. gave me full control afterwards. u can exit but not close the app to keep it working

Bought a small set. The lights came on, but I couldn't connect via Bluetooth. I returned them and got a larger set. I still couldn't connect after restarting my phone twice, uninstalling and installing the app 5 times, and making sure I was not connected to anything else. Not only could I not connect with either set, but the second set had very bad connections in the plugs to connect the light. I had to press and hold the plug together to get the strip to light up art all. Total junk.

Had a hard time figuring out how to connect the app. After all the stress, all I had to do was check that all other Bluetooth devices were disconnected (this includes the car's Bluetooth feature on your radio, that was my issue). Just disconnect the other Bluetooth devices, connect the lights, and then reconnect your other devices back. Found this in a comment from another user and it saved me.
