Will this bay hold you when the wind changes direction?
Route is an anchoring and marina guide for the Aegean, Mediterranean, and Marmara coasts, as well as the Greek islands. Its difference lies in one thing: for each bay, we measured which of the 16 wind directions enter unobstructed. Not an estimate, but a measurement — across all 466 anchoring points.

WHY IT IMPORTANT
A bay is known as "sheltered," but it doesn't hold when the wind turns south. Anchoring without knowing which direction it is open from can end with changing location in the middle of the night. The route answers this question before anchoring.
DATA
Place names and locations from OpenStreetMap. Shelter measurement was calculated by sending rays in 16 directions along the coastline. Marina information is verified with operators — verified records show the "marina notification" label, unverified ones do not. We state separately what we know and what we don't know: if there is no data, it says "no information," no fabrications.
Weather data is from Open-Meteo; wave values come from an offshore model and do not show the situation inside the bay.
NAVIGATION WARNING
Rota is not an official navigation publication. Depth values are estimates and have not been verified in the field. Shelter calculation is geometric; dead waves, anchor holding, swing area, and local conditions are not taken into account. Official nautical charts and current notices to the mariner are essential for navigation.
