This is the official companion app for Star Adventurer mini (SAM) and Star Adventurer 2i camera mount manufactured by Sky-Watcher.

Use this app to program the camera mount for astrophotography and time-lapse photography. It can also help a Sky-watcher equatorial mount user to do polar alignment with the polar scope.

Update to my previous 1 star review, as others said before me, you have to go to the website and download it there to your phone. It will give you messages not to trust this provider but do it anyway. Then, make sure to enable location services for this app. I haven't used it in the real world, but at least it doesn't crash on start up. Still not happy about having to jump through hoops just to run a simple app for such a high tech device. 😑

At first the app dosent work, it's just crashes. After reading reviews you need to go on the Sky Watcher website, find software and Firmware updates and click on SynScan App and find the latest update and click download. At first it won't download (at least for my security settings) you need to authorize the download. Once it downloads the app will work right away.

OK for bare basics but needs work... Would someone PLEASE set this as an immersive mode app and autohide the nav bar and top header or at least move all the buttons that these interfere with and move them to a more appropriate place... Also needs work on the wifi module, has a very weak station mode....
