This is the official companion app for Star Adventurer mini (SAM) and Star Adventurer 2i camera mount manufactured by Sky-Watcher.

Use this app to program the camera mount for astrophotography and time-lapse photography. It can also help a Sky-watcher equatorial mount user to do polar alignment with the polar scope.

Update to my previous 1 star review, as others said before me, you have to go to the website and download it there to your phone. It will give you messages not to trust this provider but do it anyway. Then, make sure to enable location services for this app. I haven't used it in the real world, but at least it doesn't crash on start up. Still not happy about having to jump through hoops just to run a simple app for such a high tech device. 😑

Used to work fine on older phone. Won't even connect to WiFi on android 12 Xperia 1, although app does open, can't use it. Appears to work fine on ios, but don't really want to bring a second phone/tablet along to simply get it to run. I have had the mini a few years now, so I suppose this is a lesson. Hardware that cannot be used without an app is likely to become a paperweight unless the app is continually updated and reviewed.

Excellent, I already own the Star Adventurer Pro, but the odd menu structure & access is awkward if you want to make sudden changes during a session, the SAM makes it very simple & fast to change to other modes. I also love the fact that I can sit back with a hot chocolate drink & still control the unit from the comfort of my chair, giving me the chance to scan the skies with binoculars while SAM does all the work....love it... One gripe i have is if I enter 20 photos it only takes 10 why???.
