Sleep Mate is a privacy-minded sleep companion app. It connects bedroom environment cues with your own notes and ratings, then offers practical, on-device sleep hygiene suggestions powered by a local rules engine.
Sleep Mate is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, or prevent any disease or health condition and is not a substitute for professional medical advice.
What you can do
• Quick environment check: see relative noise level bands and ambient light (with a manual fallback if the sensor is unavailable), so you can spot a bedroom that may be too loud or too bright before bed.
• Bedtime prep: capture a simple goal and short journal for the night, and optionally attach a prep snapshot from the quick check.
• Sleep session: you explicitly start a session. Overnight collection may run with a foreground service and a persistent notification (permissions and behavior depend on your device and OS version). Noise is analyzed from audio features—raw waveforms are not stored for playback. Motion sensing provides a coarse estimate of rest vs. disturbance; it is not clinical sleep staging.
• Morning report: duration is anchored to when you manually end the session; you can record how you felt, review noise summaries and a simple timeline, and see clear notes if there was a data gap.
• Suggestions & feedback: tips come from an offline rule pack. You can mark whether a suggestion was helpful to improve the experience. By default this feedback stays on your device—see the Privacy Policy for details.
Privacy & data
• Core session and environment-related information is stored on your device by default. Read the Privacy Policy for what is collected, why, and any third parties involved.
• Noise results are relative bands and trends, not a calibrated sound level meter.
Who it is for
• Helpful if you want a structured way to log your night, understand bedroom context, and get non-medical, actionable hygiene ideas.
• Not for emergency care, clinical sleep medicine, or replacing a qualified clinician.
We keep improving rules and UX. Ratings and in-app feedback help us prioritize what to build next.
If the app shows third-party ads, placements and related data practices are described in the Privacy Policy.
