About this app

Slide2Talk (Slide to Talk) – WiFi intercom, WiFi walkie-talkie for home and office. Allows you to quickly exchange voice messages without the Internet in any local and WiFi networks.

Slide2Talk works as a two-way radios (walkie-talkie) or intercom. That is, all incoming audio messages are automatically played loudly through the speaker or headset.

It's free. No registration. No ads.

Key features:

• Supports any type of local area networks: WiFi, WiFi-Direct (P2P), WiFi hotspot (access point), Ethernet, Bluetooth / USB tethering, etc. Can work in them at the same time.

• Real-time audio transmission. You are just starting to speak, and you are already being listened to!

• End-to-end encryption. All transmitted data are encrypted – don't worry about confidentiality!

• Communication in closed groups. You can send messages to all users of the group at once or personally.

• Simple interface. Everything important on one screen! You can change the color. Light / dark theme switching is supported.

• The "Slide To Talk" button protects against accidental audio sending.

• You can configure a list of "home" WiFi networks. The app will automatically apply custom settings when you are on such networks. This will allow, for example, to play incoming messages loudly only when you are actually at home.

• Headphone and headset support. If a wired or Bluetooth headset is connected, it is used automatically.

• Message history. You can re-listen to any voice messages!

• Quick reply screen. It is shown automatically to any incoming message. You can reply instantly!

• The Premium version of the application supports the transmission of voice messages over the Internet. You will not be limited by local networks. Only the creator / administrator of the group pays.

This works great! Other apps had a monthly service fee or ads galore. This one had neither. Just a different paid version if you need it to work outside the local network. Thanks so much. There was a trick to setting up. You need to send the invite link to your PC to click. Then install on another device and send that link to the device to click. The link sent directly to the new device first gives an error.

This app works great! Bought the Pro version within minutes. It works exactly as advertised. Easy to set up and has a local history in case you need to revisit what someone said. I'd like to ask the dev to consider adding an option to lock the screen orientation to a user-specified portrait or landscape, in addition to the current "system." Thanks! Stock S9+, Oreo.

I have tried many of these walkie talkie apps and found most to be lacking in the ease of use and quality departments. But finally I found the one that works for me and everybody else in circle of family and friends. Slide2Talk is the one that I like and everybody else does to. I totally recommend it for anyone who wants to keep in touch with just touch of an icon. Simple and clean design.
