SlidMe is a reading app created to let you discover Réalités Cosmiques – Book 1: The Protectorate, an illustrated science fiction novel. It all begins in the Amazon rainforest, on Earth, several centuries before the birth of the Protectorate, with the story of Kayimi.
Eight hundred years later, on the far side of the Moon, three Protectorate scientists are about to transfer seven people from Earth who have been selected to take part in the Kaoultatir, an ancient tradition of the planet Oda opened to humanity for the first time.
What was meant to be a perfectly controlled event becomes the starting point for a succession of revelations, infiltrations and conspiracies that will shake the balance of the Protectorate.
Réalités Cosmiques – The Protectorate takes you across worlds, civilisations and technologies shaped by a shared history whose origins reach much further back than they first appear.
At the heart of the story, Lame leads an investigation that will take her and her companions across the worlds of the Protectorate. Little by little, seemingly isolated events reveal connections that are broader and more disturbing than they first seemed.
Illustrations and video sequences accompany key moments of the story while keeping the narrative at the centre of the experience.
