Smalltalk is a phone for kids with no screen. This app is the parent's side of it.

Your child gets a real handset. It sits on a shelf, it rings, they pick it up. No screen, no apps, no browsing, no feed. Nothing to scroll.

You get this app, on your own phone. It is where you decide who your child can call, when they can call, and where you see what happened afterwards.

HOW IT WORKS

Smalltalk phones talk to each other over a private network of their own. Each one has a short internal number and no public phone number, so the only people your child can reach are the ones you have added — a grandparent, a cousin, the friend down the street. Unknown callers have no way in.

WHAT YOU DO IN THE APP

• Add and remove callers. The list starts empty, and nothing joins it without you.
• Set schedules — bedtime, school hours, homework — for one caller or the whole phone.
• Lock the phone from wherever you are, and unlock it just as fast.
• See a record of calls: who, when, how long.
• Take calls from your child on your own phone.
• Bring the other grown-ups into your village, so you are not the only one holding it.

BEFORE YOU DECIDE

The phone cannot call ordinary phone numbers, send messages, take photos or go online. That is the whole idea of it, and it should be true in your head before it is true in your house.
