It worked very well for my 2016 Forester. I couldn't do anything at first because all 4 key slots were full, but the support guy was extremely competent and courteous. He connected remotely and sent me a customized program. What I don't like is that they bind the serial number of the dongle to your account, so you can't give it to a friend without transferring the credentials. Even then, they question it. I was lucky to have gotten a very nice support person.

The app doesn't let you access anything else on your phone including tech support unless you close it and almost every step is so vague it requires calling. My key arrived with an unactivated pairing dongle by whoever this app works with so I couldn't immediately try wiring it until the next business day. As soon as I told the customer support guy that my key was cut wrong he hung up on me. The savings you'd get at a key kiosk are not worth the hassle.

Overall, the process was quick and smooth. At first, the app absolutely would not find the OBD dongle. After restarting the app, though the app found it right away. Everything from there on was smooth. I followed all the directions and had a working replacement key in about 5 minutes. I was able to test all of the buttons and start the engine without incident. The only thing I didn't appreciate was the data collection (name, phone #, email, zip, etc).They should only need that IF I need support
