Instead of just handing out coins and hoping for the best, parents use Zakgeld to give kids their own safe “bank” where they can practise with virtual money, set saving goals and learn that every euro can only be spent once.

From the first pocket money to bigger teen savings, Zakgeld makes money simple and visual. Kids see their balance, move money into different saving jars and watch their progress grow towards goals like a new toy, game console or trip with friends.

You create one account for yourself and then one profile for each child. You decide how much virtual money to send, when to send it and what it represents in real life. No real money is moved in the app. It only mirrors the pocket money and savings you choose to give.

This means kids can make their own choices, while you keep everything safe, clear and age-appropriate.

To start, create your parent account, add your kids and send them virtual money as pocket money, rewards or savings. Children then create saving jars like “New bike”, “Playmobil set” or “Holiday spending”, choose an image and decide how much to put into each jar.
