Smartie Merchant is an operations app for Smartie merchants, restaurants, and assigned ride and delivery drivers across the South Pacific.

Restaurants and merchants can receive and manage food orders, update store availability and order status, view payments, and coordinate active deliveries.

Smartie Merchant also includes a Driver mode for assigned ride and food-delivery drivers. When a driver goes Online and accepts an active assignment, the app shares the driver's live location with the assigned customer. This allows customers to track the driver's approach and follow the progress of an active ride or delivery.

Drivers often need to use Google Maps, open another app, or lock their phone while travelling. Live location sharing therefore continues during an active assignment, including when Smartie Merchant is closed or not in use.

Background location starts only when the driver is Online with an active ride or delivery assignment. It stops automatically when the assignment is completed or cancelled, or when the driver goes Offline. Location data is not used for advertising.
