About this app

Smart Staff App is the working tool of teachers and mentors at Smart Learning Centre. It replaces the paper register and the spreadsheet, and puts everything a teacher needs for the lesson in one place.

THE LESSON

• Take the register in seconds — present, late or absent, for today or for any past lesson you forgot to mark.
• Start the lesson and the app sets that unit's homework for the whole group automatically: the essay, the sentences and the dialogue for that book.
• See the whole group as a grid — every student down the side, the last ten lessons across the top, and a colour for how each one did.

EVERY STUDENT

• Tap any cell for the full breakdown: attendance, vocabulary learned, and the homework they submitted with the grade and the written feedback.
• Exam and progress-test results appear on the lesson they were sat, question by question, so you can go through the mistakes together.
• IELTS practice papers from the practice platform, with the whole paper and the correct answers, plus how long they spent and whether they went back over it.

TEACHING WELL

• The Growth tab carries a handout for every level from Beginner to Upper-Intermediate: what the level is for, how the score is built, where the exams fall, and the homework each lesson sets.
• A two-minute Daily Check on your own English, with AI feedback on a short paragraph you write.
• A searchable library of fossilised mistakes and teaching technique.

REMINDERS

Optional notifications when something is still outstanding — a register not taken, a lesson not started. Nobody is messaged when they have nothing to do.

ACCOUNTS

Accounts are created by Smart Learning Centre for its own teachers and mentors. There is no sign-up in the app.
