About this app

Smart Maintenance Task Manager (SM-TM) is a CMMS - a computerized maintenance management system - built for the factory floor. This is the mobile app for technicians and maintenance engineers. Managers plan and review preventive maintenance from a web dashboard; the team executes the work on a phone or tablet, online or off.

Used by maintenance teams in manufacturing, food and beverage production, textiles and garments, chemical processing, automotive assembly, and pharmaceutical manufacturing.

WHY MAINTENANCE TEAMS MOVE OFF PAPER

Most plants still run maintenance on paper forms, whiteboards, and spreadsheets. Preventive maintenance tasks get skipped. Nobody can prove a lubrication check actually happened. And a machine that fails costs several times what it would have cost to maintain.

SM-TM replaces that with one system: schedule the work, put it in the technician's hand, and get back a complete record of what was done, when, and on which asset.

- Guided task checklists with recorded measurements - no step can be skipped

- Photo evidence attached to the task record, mandatory where the task requires it
- PDF manuals, work instructions, and safety data sheets at the task point, cached for offline use
- Raise a repair request, or defer non-urgent work to the next planned shutdown backlog
- Report equipment shutdowns with reason codes and duration

NFC AND QR CODE MACHINE SCANNING

Tap the phone against an NFC tag on a machine, and its task list opens instantly. No NFC tag? Scan a QR code or standard barcode with the camera - same result, on any device with a rear camera. No typing, no searching for the right asset.

LOTO AND SAFETY ENFORCEMENT

Before any task on a lockout-required machine, the app shows the full safety procedure. The technician must acknowledge every step before the maintenance form unlocks. No bypass, no shortcut.

OFFLINE-FIRST SYNC

Dead zones are normal in a plant, so offline isn't a fallback here - it's the default. Tasks, checklists, documents, and photos live on the device. Completed work syncs automatically as soon as a connection returns. Nothing is lost between the machine and the office.

ASSET HIERARCHY AND MAPPING

Two roles, one app. Technicians execute tasks. Mappers build and maintain the asset hierarchy - production site, line, asset, section, task point - create task definitions, and write NFC tags, all from a dedicated Mapping workspace.

HOW TO GET ACCESS

SM-TM is licensed to companies, not individuals, and there is no sign-up in the app. Your administrator creates your account and gives you a validation code or QR code to connect your device. If you don't have one, contact your maintenance supervisor or IT team.
