One, two, three – off to the island of numbers!

Hijoo Numbers is a calm, playful game about the numbers 1 to 20 for children aged 2 to 6. Hijoo the unicorn lives on the island of numbers: a path winds around it past 20 stops, and every stop belongs to one number. Hijoo is the same unicorn you may know from Hijoo Train, Hijoo: Cooking and the other Hijoo games.

A STORY FOR EVERY NUMBER
At each stop a short story without words plays first: one sun wakes Hijoo up, three friends sit on the swing, five candles shine on Hijoo's cake, twenty lanterns light up the island party. Things appear one by one, and then the big number and its dots pop up.

COUNTING YOU CAN HEAR
The game never says the numbers out loud – on purpose. Every counted thing lights up and plays the next note of a scale, so your child hears that 5 is "higher" than 3. The last one plays a little chord. Count aloud together with the game in your own language – it works in every language and is perfect for families who speak more than one.

5 ACTIVITIES AT EVERY NUMBER
• Trace the number with a crayon – it gets eyes and dances
• Tap and count things one by one, then pick the number
• Find the number hidden on balloons, fish and clouds
• Fill a basket with exactly that many things
• Where is more? Tap the heavier side of the seesaw

THE MATHS CORNER (from age 4)
First adding with apples falling from a tree, taking away with a hungry bunny, hops along the number line with a frog, connect-the-dots pictures and a train of numbered wagons to put in order – or count down from 10.

• Age 2: numbers 1-5, age 3-4: 1-10, from 5: 1-20 (or choose the range yourself)
• Dots like on a die and the ten frame show amounts the way many schools teach them
