Such a great upgrade to wanikani! Especially love the undo feature, the comparison tables with JLPT/grade levels, and the customizable colors :) Suggestion for a feature you could add: I'd love the ability to choose which type of lessons to learn, i.e. only kanji, only vocab. The vocab reinforces my kanji knowledge so I often want to learn new vocab, but don't want to overwhelm myself with a bunch of new kanji. not sure if that's possible given you dont control the site, but would be cool :)

Been using for nearly a year now, great Wanikani app. Only reason why it's four stars and not five is because I'm noticing lately that some kanji reviews are mixing up onyomi and kunyomi readings. Ends up setting your mastery level back when the answer is "incorrect" as a result. Edit 1/03/25: The readings were becoming increasingly mixed, so I reset the database via the in-app settings. Seems to have fixed the issue.

Has something changed recently? Seems some of the previously accepted answers aren't accepted any longer. I also just started level 10 after a month hiatus to work on grammar and there is no acceptable answer for 頁. The app lists ページ as the answer but won't accept ペーじ, or けつ, or よう. There's no way to pass it. I assume Wanikani changed some things but the app didn't update the lessons. Edit: I had to purge the database through the settings menu. All works fine now.

What’s new

A whole basket full of minor updates coming at you, unfortunately they're almost exclusively things you won't notice at all, because they're hiding under the UI.

What you may notice is a request for notification permissions, so be sure to approve that.. if you want notifications. If you didn't notice that the dashboard was sinking into the navigation bar.. then.. nothing to see here* 👀

(*I've fixed that and generally made the padding hopefully more consistent)
