Our OnePlus Smart TV Remote Control app turns your smartphone into a replacement for your physical TV remote. Connect your phone and TV to the same WiFi network and control your compatible OnePlus Smart TV — no extra hardware and no complicated setup.

Lost or broken remote? The original OnePlus TV remote works over Bluetooth, so it stops responding once it loses its pairing after a battery change or a factory reset, and OnePlus no longer sells replacements. This app connects over your home WiFi instead, so you can keep using the TV you already own.

How to Use:
✔️ Make sure your OnePlus Smart TV is turned on
✔️ Connect your phone and TV to the same WiFi network
✔️ Launch the app, tap Connect TV and pick your TV from the list
✔️ Enter the PIN code shown on your TV screen to complete pairing
✔️ Select the remote control mode
✔️ Enjoy using your phone as a smart remote for your OnePlus Smart TV

You only need to pair once. The app remembers your television, so the next time you open it you can start pressing keys straight away.

Your privacy: the only sensitive permission this app asks for is the microphone, and it is used only while you hold the voice-search button. Your voice goes straight to your TV over your own home network so the TV can run its search — we never receive it, record it or store it. The app requests no access to your photos, videos, files or location.

TV not showing up in the list? In almost every case the phone and the TV are not on the same network. Check that both are joined to the same router — many homes have a separate 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz name, and joining different ones will hide the TV. Make sure the television is fully awake rather than in standby, then pull down to search again. If your router has AP isolation or client isolation switched on, turn it off so devices can see each other.

Please note: this app is a WiFi remote, so it cannot reach a television that is switched off at the wall or not connected to your network. Available functions also vary by model — in particular, waking the TV from standby over WiFi works on some OnePlus models and not others, so on those sets you will still need the power button on the television itself for the first switch-on.
