Instead of setting a price, you choose a small wish in return. It could be your favorite chocolate, a great shampoo, or something else that would have made you a little happy.

When someone nearby wants the thing, they come by with your wish and take it home🕺
The idea is that more things will get a new life when it's a little more fun to pass them on.
