Please don't install this app if you are using the older version. Many functions are missing. I was forced to uninstall because I couldn't transfer between my own accounts! Further, the app is toooo slow. Every click takes 15-20 seconds before it shows the information. All the while it stays in "Loading ..." For example, after logging in, it takes 30 seconds to show the information. Then, if I click on the "Savings Account", another 15 seconds before the account is shown. The UI is slick and good looking, but what's the use if it doesn't do what I want it to do quickly? The old app, even though not good looking, actually works and it is much faster. Finally - you can't even give feedback in the app even though every time you log out it asks you to. I typed this whole review, and it said "Something went wrong". I had to re-type using my desktop in play store.

I've been using the app for sometime and it has generally been a good experience. However, the latest version appears to pop-up ads inside the app for HDFC products, and it disrupts the usability. (One such place is when I am trying to make an online transfer, and an advertisement blocks the numeric keypad!!) I think HDFC Bank can and should spend some more money & effort on creating an app without ads, and on QAQC for usability. I hope this is an oversight and the ad got left behind accidentally - but if not, then this is just a bad choice by management.

The issue with login has been resolved after I reached out to the support email address. I am able to use the app same as before and like using it often. It does have some scope of improvement in terms of user experience and intuitiveness. Some of the options are not so obvious and does not do what a user think it should do based on the label. That said, the most common features used over 90% of the time are pretty handy and easy to use.
