Every reading you record in Reagent Lot carries the bottle that produced it β kit, lot number π’, open date and expiry β so a suspicious number can be traced to a stale reagent before you dose the tank against it.
You enter the raw drop count or colour step, not a finished figure. The app π± stores that count and the kit's conversion factor side by side and derives the value from both, so your history β³ can be re-derived if a factor is corrected or a second kit is compared against it. A photo πΈ of the vial or comparator card is attached at the moment of the read, so the colour call stays reviewable weeks later.
Each tank gets its own parameter series, drawn with lot-change hairlines laid over it and expiry-crossed stretches shaded. A scrub handle reads any point back with its bottle and its drop count. When a bottle changes, the app π± computes the mean step between the last readings of the old lot and the first readings of the new β¨ one β the number π’ that separates a reagent artefact from a real shift in the tank. Two kits measuring the same parameter can sit on one series with their offset stated, so a disagreement between kits is quantified instead of argued.
In Reagent Lot, the kit shelf treats every bottle as an object in its own right: lot strip, expiry, tests used against tests estimated, and the remaining-test estimate carried onto the next lot when you retire one. A reference table π of common marine kit types ships inside the app π± with their sample volumes and drops-per-unit π factors, so you select a kit rather than configuring one by hand.
Everything runs on your device π±. There is no account, no sign-up, no sync and no network in the core loop β the app behaves the same in airplane mode as it does on Wi-Fi, and your photos πΈ stay in app-private π storage. Export π€ goes to a local file you choose.
