MicroMacro: Downtown Detective is an adaptation of the iconic and award-winning board game series Micro Macro: Crime City and comes with a whole new city map, its own set of unsolved cases, and innovative game mechanics, turning the cooperative hidden picture board game into a captivating solo adventure.

Your help is needed, Detective! Crime City is shaken by crimes. Deadly secrets, sneaky robberies and ruthless murder are lurking around every corner. How was the famous violinist killed? Who is the killer? Why did rockstar Axl Otl have to die? And: can you put a stop to the mischiefs of the notorious Polly Pickpocket? Find clues, solve tricky puzzles—and catch the culprits.

Ratings and reviews

It would be 5 stars but you can only play 3 cases (1 of which was the demo) before you're forced to buy the whole game. Then I found out, after you have to buy it, you still have to pay for more additional things. What I did play was a really fun game. Liked the cases and finding the clues through the picture.

Quite the interesting style and theme of game, very unique. Mostly sad that only three missions are available unless you buy the rest. I am not sure about how filled with ads it might be, I run an adblocker so I don't have to deal with them.. but I did quite enjoy the amount of stuff I was able to do, I just wish I could do one whole chunk of the map instead of three separate missions.

This was a really fun game with interesting puzzles and no ads which I am always happy about. I found myself needing hints from time to time because I would get a bit confused about what exactly I was needing to do next. It should be noted that the base game is only a short demo and then there is a purchase for the rest of the game as well as another purchase for additional puzzles, neither of which bothered me that much.
