**OpenClaw Runner** makes it easy to run OpenClaw AI automation framework on your Android device - no ROOT access required!

## What is OpenClaw Runner?

OpenClaw Runner is a companion app that helps you set up and manage OpenClaw, an advanced AI automation framework, directly on your Android phone or tablet. Through an intuitive interface, you can install, configure, and control OpenClaw's gateway service running in Termux.

## How to Use

**First Time Setup:**
1. Open OpenClaw Runner
2. Download and install Termux following in-app instructions
3. Complete battery optimization settings
4. Copy and paste installation commands into Termux
5. Run onboarding command to configure OpenClaw with your API keys
6. Access Dashboard

**Daily Use:**
1. Tap "Start Gateway" to launch OpenClaw
2. Wait for gateway to start (10-20 seconds)
3. Tap "Launch Web Interface" to access control panel
4. Tap "Stop Gateway" when finished

## Technical Requirements

**Minimum:**
- Android 7.0 or higher
- 2GB RAM (4GB recommended)
- 500MB free storage
- Internet connection
- Termux terminal emulator (guided installation included)

## Important Limitations

**This App is a Helper Tool**
OpenClaw Runner does NOT include OpenClaw itself. It provides an easy interface to install and manage OpenClaw running in Termux. You need:
- Termux installed (guided in app)
- OpenClaw API credentials
- OpenClaw account/subscription

**Termux Dependency**
OpenClaw requires Termux to run. Termux must remain installed for OpenClaw functionality.

**Background Execution**
Android's battery optimization may stop Termux in the background. Disable battery optimization for Termux for best results. Some aggressive battery savers may still interfere.

**Network Requirements**
OpenClaw requires internet connectivity to function. The gateway runs on your device but communicates with OpenClaw services online.

**Manual Steps Required**
- Manually install Termux APK (Android security requirement)
- Copy/paste commands into Termux
- Configure battery optimization settings

**Storage Space**
OpenClaw and dependencies require approximately 300-500MB of storage in Termux, separate from this app's size.

## Privacy & Security

- No personal data collection beyond standard analytics
- OpenClaw credentials stay on your device
- Authentication tokens stored locally only
- Commands executed locally in Termux
- Internet permission used only for Termux downloads and OpenClaw communication

## Support

Having issues? Check that:
- Termux is installed and up to date
