HISTORY OF YOUTH INTERNATIONAL COLLEGE
YOUTH International College (YIC) was founded on March 4, 1997 by Dr. Zaw Lin as a
training center initially named YOUTH Computer Training Centre. In 2015, it transitioned into
YOUTH International College. Initially focused on IT Diplomas and Certificate Courses, YIC
diversified its curriculum to include business management courses from 2017 onward. In 2018,
YIC elevated its status to a university with a vision of fostering the potential of Myanmar
youths’ capacities, particularly in Information Technology and Business Management fields.
Maintaining its position as a leading academic institution is attributed to YIC's persistent
efforts, quality education, and the ongoing support from alumni and current students. The
university has been offering a range of top-notch academic programs to both public and private
sectors to uplift the capacities of Myanmar’s workforce.

3. Fabulous Campus & Well-Qualified Lecturers
YIC is situated in Bahan Township, near Shwe Gone Daing Skyway, just a 15-minute
drive from downtown Yangon and easily accessible by public transport. The main
campus is a five-story building with an open rooftop, having 30 well-equipped lecture
rooms where approximately 400 students are currently studying.
The lecture rooms are clean and spacious, accommodating at least 20 students each.
Beyond the classrooms, our facilities include a spacious auditorium theater, an
extensive library, a mini gym, a fully equipped Cisco Lab, and a Science lab. The
auditorium theatre can comfortably accommodate around 120 students, and our library
can host about 100 students simultaneously. Every room is equipped with air
conditioning and a projector. To enhance the well-being of our students, we provide
health services through a clinic with a standby doctor and an open rooftop canteen for
relaxation and socializing.
Our commitment to providing quality education begins with our exceptional team of
well-experienced and qualified teachers and educators. Our dedicated deans and
lecturers are not just instructors but also mentors, nurturing each and every student.
