One week on a terrace in DĆ©nia, Spain. Seven diners, one stove and grandma's paella pan. Can you reach socarrat ā the crispy, caramelised rice at the bottom of a paella ā without burning it?
š„ COOK WITH CARDS
Every card is an ingredient: rice, fish stock, Ʊora pepper, DĆ©nia red prawn, cuttlefish, artichokeā¦ Combine them into real recipes from the Marina Alta ā arrĆ²s a banda, black rice, fideuĆ , suquet, all i pebre, espencat, coca de mullador ā and serve the plate that scores the most.
š„ THE FIRE DECIDES EVERYTHING
Every plate heats the pan. Raw is worth little, just right is good, and socarrat doubles your rice. Push too far and it burns: zero points. You see how a plate will come out before you cook it, so every move is a real choice.
š½ļø SEVEN DINERS, SEVEN TASTES
The retired fisherman loves seafood, the market gardener rewards vegetables, the grandkids can't stand paprika and the mayor demands rice. On Wednesday and Sunday the bosses arrive: grandma, who won't accept nibbles, and the food critic, who tastes each recipe only once.

Between services, spend your tips: fresh catch from the Llotja, grandma's recipe of the day, utensils that bend the rules (grandpa's paella pan, the wood oven, the mortar, the hand fanā¦) and recipe pages to level up your dishes. You can also sell what you don't need.
