About this app

SolanIQ turns your home solar battery into a smart, price-aware asset. It connects to your inverter and your electricity retailer, forecasts your solar and your prices, and decides — every 5 minutes — when to charge from the sun, when to power your home from the battery, and when to buy or sell against the grid. The result: more of your solar stored and used when it's worth the most, and less spent on expensive grid power.

WHAT SOLANIQ DOES
• Runs a Model Predictive Control optimiser over live wholesale/retail prices, your consumption patterns and your solar forecast.
• Charges the battery when power is cheap or solar is plentiful, and discharges it when prices are high — automatically.
• Responds to negative and volatile prices, so you can avoid paying to import and make the most of high-value export windows.

YOU'RE IN CONTROL
• Two modes per site: "Suggest" logs what the optimiser would do without touching your battery — great for your first days — and "Automate" hands it the wheel.
• Three strategies: Conservative (gentle on the battery), Balanced, and Aggressive (maximum savings, deeper cycling), with per-site state-of-charge limits you set.

SEE EVERYTHING, LIVE
• Real-time power flow between solar, home, battery and grid.
• Today's battery plan and the upcoming price schedule.
• Energy history with daily generation and consumption totals.
• A log of every battery mode change, and push notifications for the events you care about.

PRIVACY & TRUST
• Your retailer credentials are stored encrypted and used only to run the optimisation on your behalf.
• We never sell your data. You can export or delete your account and data at any time from within the app.

REQUIREMENTS
SolanIQ requires a SolanIQ account and a compatible solar battery system. New accounts include a free trial; continued use is a paid subscription. Savings depend on your tariff, hardware, solar, and usage and are not guaranteed.
