About this app

SolarSim is a mobile application that allows homeowners in West Africa—and particularly in Mali—to size their solar installation in minutes. The user photographs their home and electrical appliances (air conditioners, fans, refrigerator, TV, etc.), and artificial intelligence identifies each appliance, estimates its energy consumption, and then calculates the ideal solar system:
- number and power of panels, battery capacity, inverter size, estimated cost, and monthly savings compared to a generator or the EDM grid. The first solar plan is free, and
- each additional simulation costs a credit—payable via Orange Money, Wave, or bank card. The result can be shared on WhatsApp or exported as a PDF for an installer.
