App won't let me sign in at all. Keeps popping up a message that I have to take care of something by signing in on the desktop version, but when I sign in on the desktop, there's no indication that I need to complete anything. I already changed my UN/PW, and reinstalled app. Nada.

Why do you just pop a modal in front of user with generic text telling them they need to go do actions in a web browser as part of sign in periodically. Just handle whatever you need to ask the user natively in app. Or at least redirect the user into a browser. This is such a pre 2010 user experience.
