TextEditS opens the text files already on your device — right where they are. No copying into the app, no separate library. Open, edit, save in place. 📝

For the moment you need to fix one line in a config file, check a log on site, or reopen a note you wrote years ago. 🗂️

■ Key features 🛠️
• 📂 Edits the original — Files are never copied into the app. Open it, change it, save it back where it was. Until you press save, the original stays exactly as it was. 🔒
• 💾 Unsaved work survives — A call comes in, the app closes, you come back: your tabs and edits are still there. The original file was never touched. ✨
• 🌏 Legacy encodings, handled — EUC-KR, CP949, Shift_JIS, GBK and Big5 files open correctly. If a character can't survive the encoding you chose, you're told before the file is damaged. 🈶
• 🔍 Regex find & replace — Match case, whole word, regular expressions. Replace 200 occurrences and undo them all with a single tap. ↩️
• 🔢 Line numbers and marks — Numbers on the left; tap one to mark that line and jump between marks in long files. 📌
• 🧭 Outline — Pull up functions, classes and headings and jump straight there. Works with dart, js, ts, php, py, html, css, md and more. 🗺️
• 🧹 Document tools — Sort, remove duplicate or blank lines, change indentation, convert case, count words. All in one place. 🧰
• 📁 File management — Rename, move, copy and paste, create folders, open with another app or share. It all happens here. 📤
• 🎨 Nine themes — Light, Dark, Sepia, Paper, Black (AMOLED), Solarized, Monokai. Font size and line spacing are yours to set. 🌙
• ⌨️ Shortcuts and a key bar — Ctrl+S and Ctrl+F work with a Bluetooth keyboard. On phone, the bar above the keyboard gives you Tab, brackets and precise cursor movement. 🔤

■ 🛡️ It won't open PDFs or images
Opening a PDF in a text editor shows garbled characters, and saving would destroy the file. TextEditS checks both the extension and the actual content, and offers to hand non-text files to another app instead. 🚫

■ 🔒 Your file contents never leave the device
The contents, names and folder paths of the files you open are never sent to any server. No sign-up, no login, no ads. 📴
