somo club is a social club in Bangalore for people who show up alone.
Every morning the whole city gets one question. You answer it, you read what everyone else said, and you get a sense of how the people around you actually think — before you ever meet them.
Then you meet them. Six people, one table, a café somewhere in the city.
How it works
One prompt a day. The same question for everyone, every morning. Answer in a line or a paragraph. Nothing to win.
Circles of six. Small meetups at cafés, brewpubs and ice cream shops around Bangalore, plus online rooms if you'd rather start from your couch. Every table is gender-balanced so nobody's outnumbered.
A game, not an agenda. The app runs the table — icebreakers, rounds, questions that go somewhere. You're never the one stuck keeping the conversation alive.
Connect only if it's mutual. After a table, each person picks who they'd like to know better. If it's mutual, the connection opens and you talk inside the app. somo never shares your contact details.
A few things we do differently
Your selfie becomes an illustration. Full names and real photos stay hidden until two people both choose to connect.
No likes, no followers, no counts. Nobody here is building an audience.
After a few tables you get your conversation style — the challenger, the question-asker, the storyteller. More useful than it sounds.
