Love this game. Played and beat this on the Sega CD. Still have both. That being said this game is decent. Has a point and directional control system plus a paired controller option (I highly recommend). The d-pad controller is a bit annoying as it sits right above your character. The music and graphics are identical to the original game however the the text and voice are different. And it cuts/reduces some scenes that I've already noticed. If you like old school RPGs then you will like this.

It is a solid redo of the original game, with Working Designs' absurd difficulty modding available as a hard mode, though it feels like there are a very few minor issues. Critical Hits do not exist, nor do bosses get double turns at times to try to push you on the defensive at late game. Resistance gear such as lightning or fire resist do not do anything. Other than this, the game is a great way to enjoy a classic, and still has the WD charm without having them go off the deep-end

An Amazing JRPG that will capture your imagination w/ the simplicity of play & sheer variety of enemies. Truly beautiful graphics and some sweeping original music. Your on screen characters can even be seen to strike w/ the selected weapon (be they Silver Daggers, Flame Swords or Dragon claws) or the various magic spells that can be used by your appropriately skilled team wizard. I only wish their were more of these gorgeous 16-bit classic Japanese RPG's from the "golden days." Thanks Dev's!
