About this app

Red Movilidad, the official app of the Ministry of Transport and Telecommunications, is designed to improve the travel experience for users of public transportation in Santiago, Chile. Data traffic on this app is free for users of Claro, Entel, Movistar, and WOM.

Red Movilidad provides timely information and allows interaction between users, facilitating more informed and efficient trip planning. The app allows you to:

- Plan trips on buses, the Metro, and the Metrotren Nos.

- Check bus and train arrival times at stops and stations.

- Receive service alerts for stops and routes (detours, contingencies, and operational notices).

- Report information to other users, such as the status of a bus or stop.

- View nearby areas on the map and buses approaching a stop.

- Top up a bip! card or use bip!QR to pay for your trip with a QR code. - Use application functionalities from compatible wearable devices (smartwatches), allowing access and use of services such as QR code payment directly from the watch, without needing to interact with the phone.

Ratings and reviews

I knew the cash update for the card/virtual card was slow. But now, it seems i have stuck more than 1200 CLP in my virtul card and it says "not enough cash". On top of that, connections do not refresh THAT automatically after going down. Neither of these can happen.

It doesn't work. Always says that there's a problem reading my card and when it can reading my card doesn't works either. I did an upload and it failed to activate. BIP tells me that the value is there and that it is a problem with Pagoya and they tell me that the value is also there and that it is a problem with the RED app 🙉

Very intuitive interface, also great to include the use of the Clave Única feature. However, it can be improved, such as enabling the use of a smart watch to pay using NFC or the phone itself instead of using a QR on both devices, which can lead to confusion. Please add the direct NFC payment feature in the future please!
