Sonim created this application to allow for Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) accessories to be compatible with Sonim phones. This application simply allows you to pair compatible BLE accessories with your Sonim phone. It works similarly to standard Bluetooth products that must be paired. The application has a user-friendly interface to pair compatible BLE accessories with the Sonim phone, allowing other applications to receive Push-to-Talk (PTT) button intents if registered for PTT broadcasts.
This application currently allows for Sonim XP8 compatibility with Aina BT RSM, Aina Smart Button, Klein Electronics (BLU-PTT) and PRYME (PRYMEBLU) Button Controls. Sonim compatible BLE and other accessories are available at: http://store.sonimtech.com.
Example Use Case: Combining the Klein or PRYME BLE Button Control and Sonim’s In-vehicle Holder & Mount, provides an affordable, handsfree compliant in-vehicle Solution. A user may control voice and PTT answer/end functions with the BLE Button Control, leveraging the ultra-loud speaker on Sonim phones, without touching the phone in-vehicle!

-Question: Can the application be loaded to Sonim XP5s?
Answer: Yes, the application may be downloaded via Sonim’s App Updater for the XP5s. Sonim hosts this application in the App Updater.
-Question: Will the application be compatible with Sonim XP1520 (or other Sonim feature phones)? Answer: No, the application is for Sonim XP5, XP5s, XP7 and XP8 phones only.
-Question: Is it possible for other BLE accessories to be compatible with Sonim XP5, XP5s, XP7 and XP8 phones?

-Question: Is this application required if running Kodiak PTT on the phone?
Answer: Kodiak APK has designed their APK to support Klein’s BLE Button (BluPTT). This means, when Kodiak PTT is running on Sonim XP8 (only), the Sonim BLE application is not required when pairing to Klein’s BTLE Button (BluPTT).

Piece of junk phone , tough as nails . But it had so many glitches , one thinks it is 1980's again. Screen goes blank after dialing, Bluetooth is weak, BS button setup. When it is plugged in to charge it will beep 30 seconds later to tell you it os charging. Screen rotation is a joke and locks up. Good thing you can take the battery out otherwise it would just be in eternal loops of stupidity. How they stay in business is a wonder. Fricken update to fix these bugs!

Most unreliable phone ever. Already swapped the device 4x in one year. No software updates. Just poor quality touch screen. Frequently crashing. Only positive is battery and build quality for dropping devices. But as far as a mobile device is concerned it's quite useless when need to write anything. This paragraph took 10min from frequently pressing the same keys before the action occurred.

After latest update my phone will not sync with my car stereo or other media players to play media. The Bluetooth will randomly disconnect from a synched device.
