With the Sound Board Sound App you can measure the sound in your environment and make it tangible. If you experience certain sound problems, you can make this visible with the app.
An example: you are sitting in the office and you constantly hear an annoying high-pitched beep. However, your colleague will not hear this beep because it is too high. Then you can now use the sound app to show that the beep is there. This way you can work together towards a solution to solve the noise problem.
With the Sounding Board Sound app you have three different options for measuring.
1. Decibel values – you can measure how loud the sound is around you. This value is adapted to human hearing. You hear the lowest and highest tones less well. This way you get a realistic picture.
2. Spectrum – with this option you give more dimension to sound than just a decibel value. You can see which frequencies are present in the sound. For example, mainly low sounds or more mid or high sounds.
3. Spectrogram – allows you to see what is happening over time and what frequencies are present. Especially useful when a certain sound only occurs occasionally.
With the insight of the sound app, you can also improve the quality of your sound environment. In a good sound environment you can concentrate better and prevent physical complaints due to noise pollution. If you experience too much noise at your workplace, you can gain insight into this with the sound app. You can then share this with your manager or HR, for example, so that they can take action. You can also use it to find quieter places in the office or factory. This way you know in which rooms you can sit for a moment to retreat or to work with concentration.
