About this app

Every day, one veteran commits suicide nearly every hour, while at least 15% of returning vets suffer from Post Traumatic Stress. Many vets wait months for mental health care, especially with the VA managing a backlog of more than 900,000 unprocessed medical claims. If you are one of the thousands of veterans affected by Post Traumatic Stress, or other mental health issues, you are not alone, and we are here to help you get the support you seek. Sound Off provides veterans with a support system you can trust, by establishing ongoing, anonymous relationships with mental health specialists. We seek to provide anonymous access to a stable of certified mental health specialists via mobile application.

I think it can be beneficial for some. I don't think it should be used for more in depth counseling, and that is because of the risk for triggers. That is better done in person. I think there are things that would be helpful for the app that could be added for providers. It is a fairly new program and as time passes, I'm sure there will be more and more upgrades and more providers added.

The robot Clara just talks about nonsense. The Battle Buddy option is never available, so I guess I don't have any battle buddies. There is only one clinician, Tatiana from Chula Vista, and her background and training doesn't fit my issues. I should've known this was a waste if time, all help suggested by Military OneSource is garbage. I can see why so many Veterans commit suicide, the help that is actually available is more stressful than the problems we are having.

This app and it's team is exactly what's wrong with helping service members/veterans. There is no help available in the app for most states. No battle buddy or clinicians available. What a absolute joke. The app was featured on the nighly news tonight. Thanks again for wasting my time and using veterans to further the developers agenda and not provide jack nothing for help. PTSD is a serious issue and I suggest this app team take it more serious.
