SpaceBox Lite turns any device into an encrypted inbox for files, and lets anyone send to it without creating an account.

One app, two roles.

Your SpaceBox (Host):
Set up a SpaceBox on your phone, tablet, or desktop. You get an account, a QR invite to share, and an inbox that only your keys can open. Use it as a personal vault across your own devices, or as a drop-box for other people to send you.

Sender:
Scan a SpaceBox's QR code and send. No account, no email, no personal information. Files are encrypted on your device before they ever leave it. You're identified only by a key-derived id, and the host must approve you before your files are stored.

How it works
SpaceBox Lite uses ML-KEM-768 (NIST FIPS 203) for key exchange and AES-256-GCM for encryption, entirely on-device. Private keys never leave your device, servers only ever see ciphertext, and there is no password to steal or reset. Post-quantum, zero-knowledge, non-custodial.

Drops are append-only: once a file lands in your SpaceBox, it stays exactly as sent. A host can't delete a drop, and a sender can't pull it back or re-download it. That makes SpaceBox useful anywhere tamper-evidence matters, not just privacy.

Why it matters
Cloud providers can be legally compelled to hand over your data, and every backdoor built by a service provider, even for lawful access such as maintenance, becomes a target for everyone else too. SpaceBox stores ciphertext only, so there's nothing readable to hand over, even under a court order.

What's next
SpaceBox Lite is the free beta of a larger SpaceBox family. SpaceBox Ground (managed EU cloud and air-gapped hardware) and SpaceBox Space (orbital storage) are in development and not yet available; this listing is for SpaceBox Lite only.

SpaceBox Lite is not currently available to residents of the EU/EEA.
