About this app

MilPrep is a free study app for U.S. military ranks, insignia, and branch knowledge. It covers all six branches of the U.S. Armed Forces — Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, Space Force, and Coast Guard — with three study modes for each.

STUDY MODES

Ranks — Sort a randomized set of rank cards from lowest to highest pay grade by drag-and-drop, then answer multiple-choice questions about which pay grade goes with each rank.

Ranks by Image — Sort actual insignia images instead of text cards, then identify ranks from their insignia in a follow-up quiz. Useful for visual recognition on real uniforms.

Basic Knowledge — A multiple-choice quiz covering each branch's history, mottos, core values, traditions, key figures, terminology, organizational structure, and General Orders. About 50 questions per branch.

WHAT'S COVERED

- Full enlisted, warrant, and commissioned officer rank structures for all six branches
- Pay grade equivalencies across branches (E-1 through O-10, plus warrants)
- Branch-specific mottos, core values, songs, and creeds
- Notable battles, figures, and traditions
- General Orders of a Sentry — both the Army's 3-order system and the 11-order system used by the Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard
- Common acronyms and terminology

NO ADS, NO PURCHASES, NO INTERNET

MilPrep does not connect to the internet, does not collect any data, contains no advertisements, and has no in-app purchases. All scores and progress are saved locally on your device. Uninstalling the app removes everything.
